Motivating staff vital for boosting growth
MANAMA: The key role employee engagement plays in driving business growth has been highlighted by a leading expert.
Speaking at the Bahrain British Business Forum (BBBF) monthly luncheon, held at the InterContinental Regency Bahrain, UK-based Catalyst Business Dynamics’ managing director Nick Horan presented several models to help business leaders inspire their teams to higher levels of success and performance.
“Motivating personnel to realise greater human potential remains one of the biggest opportunities for business to maximise its performance and improve its position for sustainable growth,” said Mr Horan.
“With ever increasing competition in a challenging economy, those who are better engaged can realise substantial benefits.
“Studies show that companies which focus on employee engagement results in 18 per cent greater productivity, 12pc increase in profit, 12pc happier corporate culture and engagement with customers, between 31pc and 51pc greater retention of staff, and 27pc less absenteeism,” he said.
The BBBF is a business network with over 460 members. The forum aims to promote trade and investment between Bahrain and UK by offering opportunities for networking and knowledge sharing between the two business communities.
The event was attended by British deputy ambassador Russ Dixon.
